“Oprama” and playing favorites…

…surely not! Some are reporting that Oprah may be taking sides in the political arena. “Oprama” has been very public about her affiliation with the Obama campaign and has had him on her show twice. It seems odd to me that Oprah, being such an inspiration to women, wouldn’t want to showcase Palin being the first female nominee on the republican ticket…ever. Oh well, we all knew Oprama was gonna roll like that…

Oprah has openly endorsed Barack Obama and has stated that for that reason, it is inappropriate for her to host any of the candidates, since she acknowledges that her show is not an objective political forum. While it is true that Senator Obama has been on her show twice, your post failed to mention that these appearances were in 2005 and 2006, before Obama announced his candidacy.

Yes it did, didn’t it. What he said. Oh yeah, I still think she should have Palin on her show. She was obviously promoting Obama, “politically,” weather it was in 2005 or 2006, she promoted him.

Promoted him for what? He wasn’t running for any office when he appeared on her show. Oprah has already stated she’d be happy to have Palin on her show after the election. Oprh can “promote” her then, when she isn’t running for office, just like Obama.

Oh, you are right, I bet she had no idea he was about to announce his plan to run for office. My bad…

About to? Obama was on her show in October of 2006. He announced his candidacy in February of 2007. Oprah Winfrey endorsed Obama in August of 2007.

The fact of the matter is that Oprah Winfrey hasn’t had any of the candidates on her show this election season. It’s true that Obama has been on her show before, but that was TWO YEARS ago.

    Yes, your bad.

Thanks for your comment, but I still think she obviously had a master plan, she knew his plans, and she knew how influential having him on her show would be…for his upcoming candidacy, but we can agree to disagree on that one.

Oprah knew that it was a foregone conclusion that Obama would be running in 08′. Everybody could see that, especially after the speech at the 04′ democratic convention. How could she not see it coming, she’s not stupid? He was obviously on the show twice to introduce himself to the Oprah crowd and to garner her support, as if he needed to. Heck, didn’t they go to the same church for a time? The difference being, that Oprah saw the hate and left the church.
